Transportation

If you live in one of the communities listed below, contact your local Council on Aging to schedule a NEET ride.

The NEET program works with the Councils on Aging (COA) to provide transportation services for the following 14 communities in the lower Merrimack Valley in Massachusetts.

If your community is not list here, see Other Transportation Programs for additional resources that may be helpful.

How NEET Transportation Works

Elders must be 60 years old and ambulatory or self transport from their home into and out of vehicles.

All elders must read the Senior Rider Guidelines, complete a NEET Registration Form and sign and return the Senior Waiver before a ride can be scheduled. Read the welcome letter for complete information.  Elders can also call their senior center for a copy of these forms.

Transportation arrangements must be made through the local senior center.

When requesting assistance, you must provide complete destination details including address, phone number and length of stay.

All elders must wear seat belts and volunteers are unable to drive elders from appointments that include sedation.

Transportation is not guaranteed and NEET reserves the right to refuse any elder who does not follow the CDC Guideline for transportation.
